Here's Why You Must Visit Bhatta Falls Next Time You're in Mussoorie.

A scenic view shall always be a part of that perfect Himalayan vacation. Mussoorie, being a popular hill station among North Indians is often bombarded with tourists who run to hills to protect themselves from the scorching heat of North India. Of course, there are some, like myself, who are madly in love with the Himalayas and run towards them as and when they get an opportunity, but that's not what I want to share with you today!

Mussoorie, the Queen of Hills, is the place to be during vacations and it offers so many places to visit and things to do, for instance, Camel's Back Road, Laal Tibba Trek, Library Bazaar, Nag Tibba, Cloud's End, Kempty Falls..the list goes on.

But here's one place most of you have missed while in Mussoorie and might not even know about it.

Located about 7 km away from main Mussoorie, Bhatta Fall is a lesser known water fall which is indeed a treat to the eyes of those who seek solace in the hills.

You can hire a cab from Mussoorie to visit Bhatta Falls. Once you start driving down the spiral road, the route to the falls turns to be quite an interesting one. Your driver must be courageous enough to drive on such a difficult route where you can literally look down the ravine as the back tyre of the car barely runs on the narrow road.

After you make through the godforsaken road, what will await you is something truly magical. Your ride will drop you off at the gate to the waterfall. From there, you can march your way to the waterfall and experience nature in isolation.

However, amid the music of the cascading waterfall, emerald green trees, a little bridge to reach the other side of the road and pure peace, you will be annoyed looking at the condition of what could be an amazing place to visit since the authorities have failed to take good care of the area and it looks messy. 

The area surrounding the falls looked more like a dumping ground than anything else and it was completely heart breaking to see a place that can seem like heaven looking total opposite of it.

Nonetheless, the waterfall has its own charm that will  make nature lovers fall in awe of it. It can turn out to be quite a tourist spot, if taken better care than usual by the authorities. I was in love with the untouched wilderness, Himalayan back drop and unvarnished water falling down from the rocky ledge and meandering its way down in the valley.
